PERL developer

Summary:

Ability to develop and debug complex Perl code with database integration capability. Hands on experience on Perl scripting with data base integration knowledge is a must.  Seeking a Development superstar to help build an internal one-stop-shop knowledge base using a Wikimedia infrastructure. The developer will work with the Patch Tech Ops team to design, build and implement a searchable wiki database.

Requirements:

  • Extend MediaWiki software to support new experimental features
    Keep a code repository throughout the project
  • 3 - 5 years of web development experience
  • 3 - 5 years experience with rapid iterative software development processes, ability to quickly grasp requirements, derive UI workflow and develop functionality.

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience with A/B testing, cross-browser testing, debugging.
  • Develop database-driven Web interface for rapid, real-time information sharing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of wiki infrastructure.
